Remove Bad Credit From Midland Credit Management

To delete bad credit from Midland Credit Management you must dispute the mark with the credit bureaus. You can do this by writing a dispute letter or hiring a credit repair company.

If you only have one derogatory item on your credit report I suggest you do this yourself. However if Midland Credit Management is not the only negative mark on your credit then I recommend hiring a credit repair service.

Upon the bureaus receipt or your dispute letter an investigation will be conducted. The bureaus will contact Midland Credit and ask them to verify the account and its details.

If the account can not be verified then the mark must be removed from your credit report. It is common for business to not verify accounts because it costs them time and money.

However some accounts will be verified and this is when a credit repair company can be handy. They can use advanced dispute techniques such as; escalated dispute information requests, creditor direct intervention and debt validation.

In addition a service can take your case to court if it is required. However it is common for investigations to result in the removal of negative marks, regardless of its accuracy.

Who is Midland Credit Management?

They are a collection agency. They purchase debt from collection agencies and lenders.

They are located in Minnesota, Phoenix, and San Francisco. They are a subsidiary of Encore Capital Group.

They have a reputation of seeking judgments. This means they will file a civil case and sue you for repayment of the debt.

If a judge finds in their favor and places a judgment against you then you can have your wages garnished and your credit score will drop dramatically. If you get a mark from Midland Credit you should respond immediately to avoid a judgment.

In addition if you just pay them, it will not remove the mark they reported on your credit. It will only change the status of the mark, and this mark will still damage your credit score.

In sum respond to a mark on your credit from Midland Credit before it really becomes a problem. You can have bad credit marks erased from your credit report.

Boost Credit Rating

When improving your credit score you need to build positive credit as well as remove negative marks. The easiest way to build positive credit is to pay your monthly bills on time.

This will help you to create a positive payment history. A good payment history is almost as important as removing bad credit items from your report.

You are going to need to remove negative listings from your credit report too. This is accomplished by disputing inaccurate negative listings.

There are estimates that 1 in every 4 people have an inaccurate bad credit item on their credit report that is forcing them to pay higher interest rates. You are responsible to remove these inaccurate marks.

A divorce is often a source of inaccurate negative marks. A divorcee judge will often divide the debts between the two parties.

Often one party will not pay their court ordered debts. However these negative marks will be reported on both parties credit report

Frequently the other party is not aware that the court ordered debt is not being paid, until it is too late. They were not responsible for this delinquency yet their credit will still be damaged. This is an example of an inaccurate mark.

Another common source is lender mistakes. People are human and will make mistakes, however you will pay the price.

There are a variety of lender mistakes however a common one is a monthly amount due will change and the borrower will never be notified. The borrower will continue to make their on time monthly payments yet every month their credit is reported negatively.

This is because they are not paying the new amount due. They were never notified and continued to make regular on time payments, so it is not their fault but they will pay for the lender’s mistake.

These negative marks are not correct, and should be disputed. There are plenty of other reasons for your credit to be reported negatively that is no fault of yours.

However the Fair Credit Reporting Act that was passed by congress is in place to protect you from these circumstances. This law forces the credit bureaus to investigate a disputed listing.

The hard part of this is to get the bureaus to conduct the investigation. It is common for bureaus to respond to dispute letters by asking for more information about the dispute.

I suggest you be patient if you dispute these marks yourself. The other option is to hire a professional credit repair company. However you decide to do this, you can have negative marks removed from your credit report.

Credit Score Repair

If you are cleaning up your credit report you realize how important your score is. This three digit number will directly impact your quality of life.

This number is how employers and creditors will judge you. With a low score it can prevent you from being hired at a job or being approved for credit.

When you apply for credit most lenders will look at nothing more than this three digit number. They will not take into account any reason as to why a derogatory listing is there.

There are two parts to credit repair that you should concentrate on.

1. Removing negative items from your credit report.

Negative marks cause the most damage to your score. However you can remove these items without waiting the full 7 years.

The Fair Credit Reporting Act allows you to dispute any negative listing on your credit report. When you file a dispute you are telling the bureaus that this mark is inaccurate or invalid.

In order to file a dispute a dispute letter must be mailed to the credit bureaus. In this letter you need to include an explanation as to why the mark is incorrect. Frequently reasons are; not my account, account paid before sent to collections, item out of date. When the bureaus receive your letter they will investigate the mark.

If the mark can not be verified then the bureaus must remove it from your credit report. It has been learned that once an investigation occurs marks are often removed, regardless of their accuracy.

2. Build positive credit

This is a more challenging task. If you have a low score it is difficult to be approved for new credit.

However it is necessary to open a new line of credit. The best is an unsecured credit card even with the insanely high interest rate.

With this credit card you should keep the balance at approximately 10% of the available credit. This will show the credit bureaus that you use your credit and it will improve your ratio of available credit to debt.

Also by making your on time monthly payments it will create a positive payment history. If you can not build a positive payment history it will be next to impossible to improve your credit rating.

In sum your credit can be repaired. It may be in your interest to remove some negative marks before you open a new credit line, to ensure approval. However you should remove negative marks and build positive credit to get you to a 700 credit score.

Rush Card & Baby Phat Rush Card - Review

The Rush card also known as the baby phat rush card is a prepaid debit card. It was created by Russell Simmons a co founder of the hip-hop record label Def Jam.

The rush card works like this; you deposit money into your account, then you use your card to make purchases. This card guarantees approval for everyone.

There is no credit or chex systems check. The baby phat rush card is issued in a pink design and the rush card is issued in a black design.

With this card you have free direct deposit. To enroll in this you only have to fill out a form and turn that into your employer or payroll department.

Your paychecks are then directly deposited into your rush account/card. You will still get the details from your employer. It will show the amount of your deposit and taxes and hours worked.

With this card you receive free online account access. You can also access your cash at over 800,000 ATM’s.

You can use your card to make purchases online or over the phone. There is also another benefit; you can write physical paper checks from your rush card account.

To use this feature you visit the website and input the person or business that you want to write a check to. This includes name, amount of payment and address.

Then a physical check in your name is sent to the payee. This is a great way to pay your bills, no more buying money orders.

Using this service and direct deposit you can save a lot of money because you will no longer have to pay for money orders or check cashing fees again.

However, we do not recommend the rush credit card. This is because they have many fees that other cards do not have.

An example is the convenience fee. This is a fee you are charged every time you use your card.

The charge for this fee is $1.00. There is a maximum charge of $10.00 a month however you will be charged this $1.00 fee every time during that month.

You will have to wait till the end of the month and full calendar month later to have your extra charges refunded to your account.

This can work out to you waiting almost a full two months before you are refunded for your extra charges. This is insane, furthermore who only uses their card ten times in a month?

Furthermore to be charged for every purchase you make seems outrageous. Then to have to wait for a full calendar month to expire before you are issued your refund is unbelievable.

Also with the rush card in order to use bill pay you must pay $2.00 and then an additional $1.00 for every check you write. There are many prepaid cards that offer this service for free.

The rush card claims there are no hidden fees however that seems to be a very contradictory statement. Especially when you are forced to read the fine print to discover that you will be charged one dollar for every purchase you make.

In sum, look at some other prepaid cards. They have fewer fees and better benefits for being a card holder.

Judgments - How You Can Remove from Your Credit Report

A judgment is also commonly referred to as a default judgment or credit card judgment. This is simply a variation of the same meaning.

You have been found to be legally responsible for a debt. This will happen in a court of law.

Your creditors’ attorneys went to court and filed a lawsuit against you and won. This means that you wages can be garnished to pay this debt.

This is a very severe mark to have on your credit report and will cause your credit score to go down dramatically. This can happen with any sort of unsecured debt; credit cards, automobiles, phone bills, etc.

This mark will remain on your credit file for 7 - 10 years. It depends upon what state the case was filled in and what the statutes of limitations are in that state. It is also common for lenders to seek a renewal judgment if the debt has not been repaid at the end of 7 or 10 years.

This can make it impossible to ever get out from under a judgment. However you can have a judgment removed from your credit, sometimes without having to pay the debt.

I recommend you first disputing the judgment with the credit bureaus. This is done by writing a dispute letter in which you explain why the listing is wrong and should be removed.

The bureaus will then hold an investigation. They will try and verify the debt and the amount of the debt with the lender or collection agency.

If the debt is not verified or found to be inaccurate then the bureau must remove the mark from your credit report. Often investigations result in a mark being erased.

However a judgment is such a severe mark that it doesn’t have as good of chances of being removed. This often means you are stuck with the listing.

However in some instances a judgment is wrong and inaccurate. Thus it should legally be removed from your credit.

This is when I recommend a credit attorney. They will be able to use their expert knowledge and when necessary go to court to prove that the judgment is not right and should be removed.

You can actually hire a credit attorney at a reasonable rate. Lexington Law has 22 credit attorneys on their staff and they can be hired at under $80 a month for the top of the line service.
